The fact that richter used to sleep underneath the piano in ww2 .. hard times truly bring the best in us
my heart will go on, is in the same key, the difference being that this is tchaikovsky, not howard shore. 😅
This is why I really love Juni. Thankyou maestro. And thank you for the download.
The E-flat Rhapsody is played like he is late for dinner. Virtuosic, no doubt, but....
quelle merveille!
At first I wondered whether the tempo was a bit slow, but soon I realized that it's exactly the right tempo. One of my favorite Richter performances, and I'm a huge fan of his. Huge.
Wunderbar gespielt!
Aiuto, sembra che parli, sembra che stia cantando... 😮😮😮
I've heard a lot of versions of this piece and this is the best, even when compared to other Richter recordings
This is the best piano playing I have ever heard
Belleza absoluta.
💫 thank you so much
Unfortunately a very disappointing performance, especially for the titanic Richter. No. 1 is remarkably unsteady and top-heavy, and the exclusion of No. 4 damages the balance of the whole set. The mistakes in No. 5 would be okay if Richter provided half of the nervous energy required--slowing the tempo in the retransition is unforgivable. No. 3 is quite good and so is 6, but this is not enough to save an overall sloppy presentation.
Bravo! Great expressiveness. ❤️
My favourite version. Played from the heart.
Absolutely divine
Absolutely Universal & great Musician was S.Richter! Yet from his youthful years he'd working in the Odessa Opera Theater--play everything & practice with sight reading! BRAVO❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
IT is TOP really ! Thanks a lot !
Sublime, merci.
The pianist of the ,20th century and still today unmatched in his interpretations I have a signed programme of one of his London concerts and attended his Chopin brilliant London Barbican concerts quite incredible!!?!
Richter veramente grande. Mi fa sognare. Salviamo, diffondiamo questo magico interprete russo.
💜💜💜
How gifted, how musical was Richter. The Andante is superb. "On March 19, 1934 [he was born in 1915], Richter gave his first recital, at the Engineers' Club of Odessa; but he did not formally start studying piano until three years later, when he decided to seek out Heinrich Neuhaus, a pianist and piano teacher, at the Moscow Conservatory. During Richter's audition for Neuhaus (at which he performed Chopin's Ballade No. 4), Neuhaus apparently whispered to a fellow student, "This man's a genius." Although Neuhaus taught many pianists, including Emil Gilels and Radu Lupu, it is said that he considered Richter to be "the genius pupil, for whom he had been waiting all his life", while acknowledging that he taught Richter "almost nothing". "
No doubt Richter was precisely on key, when he performed…and the performance on RUclips: is internally/musically consistent…however: the recording…that is on RUclips now: is, “off key”. Either: the version being put onto RUclips: was, “off key”, to start with, (some earlier transfer, from the master: failing to be, “on key”)…or: some error occurred, in the electronic transfer…from the audio/video, used as a source, for the audio/video: to be put into RUclips… In any case, (no fault: of the original performance): the video, as is, as it is presented, on RUclips now: is, (regrettably): not on key.
Yeah…made my well tuned piano sound out of tune while playing along
He is mythical; he is everything that is so much missing from modern pianists
It's like this when the music comes without hindrance from the musician's heart - so beautiful, so thoughtful... it goes straight into my heart. Thank you Sviatoslav Richter!
I’m speechless !
Cudownie zagrane ,tempo właściwe daje podstawę tej pięknej muzyki i te zamyślenia.... cudne
The time-line is always useful.
